The boys in blue just pulled off a major takedown, fam. Abdul Zahir Qadeer, a former Afghan general and First Deputy Speaker of the House of the People, has been extradited from Kenya to the U.S. to face some serious charges. The DEA and the FBI didn’t mess around β€” this was a high-stakes operation. Qadeer is accused of conspiring to traffic hundreds of kilos of heroin and methamphetamine, along with an arsenal of military-grade weapons. According to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche: "While purporting to be a political leader of Afghanistan, Qadeer was allegedly leading a criminal enterprise dealing in dangerous and addictive narcotics and heavy weapons." πŸš₯ The DEA’s CS-1, posing as a member of an international drug trafficking organization, negotiated with Qadeer for a two-kilogram test shipment of methamphetamine that was delivered to Johannesburg, South Africa. Unbeknownst to Qadeer, he was dealing with the feds the whole time. The scale of what he was planning? Terrifying. Heavy machine guns, rocket-propelled grenade launchers β€” you name it, he was finna supply it. Qadeer was nabbed in Nairobi in April 2025 and is now facing charges that could put him away for life. DEA Administrator Terrance C. Cole summed it up: "The world is safer now that Qadeer is facing justice in the United States. No matter where you are, no matter how powerful you think you are β€” you are not out of our reach."
