LAW ENFORCEMENT BUSTS DARKNET DRUG TRAFFICKING, ARRESTS 270 ACROSS FOUR CONTINENTS
π₯ The boys in blue just made one helluva takedown. Operation RapTor netted 270 arrests across Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, the Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, and the US. Over $200 million in cash and digital assets, two metric tons of drugs, 144 kilos of fentanyl, and 180 firearms were seized.
The joint effort by JCODE and international law enforcement hit hard on darknet markets peddling fentanyl and opioids. Key targets included Nemesis, Tor2Door, Bohemia, and Kingdom Markets. One Iranian national, Behrouz Parsarad, was indicted for running Nemesis Market.
Attorney General Pam Bondi boasted, 'This historic international seizure will save lives.' DEA Acting Administrator Robert Murphy added, 'No mask, no marketplace, no digital wallet can hide you from facing justice.' The operation is a major win in the fight against darknet crime.
