MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The boys in blue finally cornered Ronald James Yates, a 61-year-old Texas OG, after he popped up on the radar in Oklahoma. On February 24, 2025, Hugo officers got a tip from TDPS that Yates was on the run for a federal probation violation and had crossed over from Texas. They busted him at a local business, and when they secured the bag, it turned out he was strapped with 148.6 grams of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance. Yates, who’s no stranger to the game, copped a plea on October 6, 2025, after getting cornered by federal charges for Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth. He’s now facing 123 months in the slammer, which ain’t exactly a walk in the park. This isn’t Yates' first rodeo; he was already on supervised release from a previous conviction for Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine back in the Eastern District of Texas. Looks like this time, the feds aren’t playing around.
