Stephanie Thomas got caught bang to rights at HMP Parc in Bridgend, bruv. She was tryna sneak £5,000 worth of gear into the nick while visiting an inmate. The 38-year-old tried to play it cool, claiming she was under pressure and had a 'financial incentive', innit.
When the feds cornered her in the visitor search area, a sniffer dog picked up on the scent. Thomas produced a package from her... *ahem*... 'genital area'. Inside? 2.37g of cocaine, 37.1g of cannabis, and 50 buprenorphine tablets. Not to mention a crack pipe and a mobile phone in her handbag.
Thomas, who’s from Lan y Parc, Nelson, Caerphilly, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A, B, and C drugs. Judge Eugene Egan took it easy on her, considering she was of previous good character. He gave her a 26-month suspended sentence and ordered her to complete a 25-day rehab programme.
The judge told Thomas, 'You know how dangerous drugs are when they cross the custody threshold. Life has not always been easy for you and I accept that.'
