It’s never too late to get into trouble, eh. Dauphin RCMP and the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST) cornered Inky Mark, a 78-year-old local, after executing two search warrants at his place. The haul? A staggering 439 firearms, an antique cannon, ammo, and over $300,000 in cash πŸ’°. The investigation started back in March when a 73-year-old Dauphin-area man got dinged for firearms charges south of the border. This led to more charges and eventually to Mark’s door. RCMP found that several of the seized firearms were illegally trafficked, with at least one tampered with. Assistant Commissioner Scott McMurchy laid it out: "The illegal trafficking of prohibited weapons is a serious offence that threatens public safety. We thank the many RCMP officers who are working on this case for their tireless efforts in targeting individuals who are trafficking these dangerous and illegal weapons and bringing them to justice."
