π¨π¦ CBSA BUSTS FIREARMS RING IN OTTAWA: TWO DINKED FOR GUNS AND STUNNERS
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and Ottawa Police Service kicked down a weapons den in Ottawa, dinking two residents for a stash of illegal firearms. The investigation started when border agents at the International Mail Centre in Mississauga flagged a package with a stun gun headed to Ottawa.
On April 29 last year, they swooped on the residence and seized three firearms, two prohibited knives, five brass knuckles, and more stun guns. They also found forged documents, adding forgery charges to the list. The RCMPβs Specialized Firearms Support Services backed up the operation.
Denis Laurin, 53, and Michel Laurin, 54, are now facing a laundry list of charges including smuggling, possession of prohibited firearms, and forgery. They're set to appear in court on June 18, 2026. The CBSAβs got the message clear: theyβre keepin' illegal guns outta our neighbourhoods, eh.
