🇨🇦 CBSA BUSTS MAJOR DRUG RING IN OPERATIVE SKY SHIELD

Canada Border Services Agency Original source ↗
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) just wrapped up Operation Sky Shield, a month-long crackdown on drug exports to Australia and New Zealand. The boys at the border seized over 26 kg of meth and nearly 59 kg of other narcotics. 🚔 Out of 123 total seizures, almost half were bound for Oz, with another quarter headed to Aotearoa. The haul included cocaine, GHB, cannabis, ketamine, MDMA, methadone, and psilocybin. The CBSA’s Kevin Brosseau called it a global operation with local impact, delivering ‘concrete results’ in the fight against illegal drugs. Erin O’Gorman, President of the CBSA, praised her team’s 24/7 efforts to keep our borders safe and disrupt the drug trade. The agency’s expanded resources and trained detector dogs have led to a 43% drop in fentanyl exports between 2024 and 2025. For sure, it’s a big win for border security and public safety.
